Rena was the second child of a somewhat older middle-upper class couple, and her older brother Seiya (a journalist for a local magazine) was 9 years older than her. This prompted her parents (both accountants for a large enterprise) and her widowed grandmother (the owner of a local ikebana school) to slightly overprotect her, trying to at least partially shape the "baby" of their family into the incarnation of the Yamato Nadeshiko ideal: gentle, sweet, devoted to those she cares for... but not forgetting that she's born into a fiercely competitive world where she'll have to fight hard not just to have a nice home life, but not be seen as someone to take lightly.
Rena grew up into a tall and quiet girl, very feminine in her behavior and dress code (though also slightly coquettish, as her fondness for hair jewelry and Zettai Ryouiki proves), extremely book smart, rather polite towards others and quite the force to be reckoned with in courts and academics.
Rena is the owner of rather large boobs, but she's quite confident about her chest size. Unlike her male counterpart, though, she had kept her hair very long, only cutting it short recently. And finally, she's quite good at swing/knitting/embroidering, so sometimes she makes her own headbands and accesories.
